Willowbank Cottage is the latest addition to our range of small garden activity playhouses.
In a small garden element potentially has a huge visual and special impact on the whole garden, and affects the overall feel of the garden for everybody that uses it. It was with that thought in mind that we designed the Willowbank Cottage. This beautifully made playhouse has an abundance of charm and character which is carried through to the interior of the house as well. The inside walls of the main playhouse area are ply lined and then painted to resemble the plastered walls of a real house. There is ladder access to the upper covered area, which facilitates access to the slide and climbing rock wall. There is sufficient space to sit and view the garden from the upper area, below which there is a second room to the house. All in all there are 3 distinct internal or covered play spaces to enjoy.
A key inspiration in the design of this house was the need to maximise the opportunity for active play whilst not facilitating the ability for children to be able to stand aloft hand have an intrusive vantage point over immediate neighbours gardens and often over the much wider neighbourhood as well.
Where normal open play structures would possibly cause an infringement of planning regulations, and facilitate being a nuisance to neighbours and the surrounding proximity, this playhouse provides the perfect solution. Neighbour friendly and yet full of active and creative play possibilities.
As with all the play structures we make at Playways, Willowbank Cottage can be configured to suit all sorts of different spaces and play requirements.

We like to work with our customers to ensure that what we are building for you is going to be a seamless and trouble free process.
Often the best way to start is to give us a call (01404 891061) or drop us an email at [email protected]. We can talk through the options and possibilities with you, and discuss the specifics of you garden, and also try to ascertain what it is you want from your playcentre.
In a lot of cases a visit to site can be useful. We’ll bring a tape measure, some blank paper, and plenty of photographic examples of our work for you to look at. We don’t charge for making site visits. Usually at the end of a visit it is possible to give you a price. Sometimes it may be necessary to go away and work up a design and a quotation.
Once you are happy with the design and proposal we will raise our sales order. We ask for a deposit of 30% of the value of the order. This can be paid online direct to our bank account, or we can take card payments over the phone, we still take good old fashioned cheques and as long as our bank still takes cash we happy to accept that too!
There is a facility to pay through the website, but we’d really like to talk to you first.
Once a sales order is in place and a deposit has been paid we will make the product in our workshop. We aim for a delivery and installation within 4 weeks of ordering, at busy times this may be a little more but is almost always within 6 weeks.
We deliver and install all our playhouses and climbing frames ourselves. Most playcentres are installed within one day. Some of the larger units will take 2 days. Large bespoke projects may take 3 days to build in your garden.
